SPRING MTB CLUB

Welcome to the Spring MTB Club!

At Squamish MTB Academy, we believe every young rider deserves a supportive, fun, and inspiring environment to grow their mountain biking skills. The Co-Ed Spring MTB Club is where kids aged 6-15 come to build confidence, forge friendships, and level up their riding on some of the best trails in Squamish.

This program is designed for blue to black- level riders, whether your child is just starting to navigate intermediate terrain or is ready to tackle more advanced challenges. With small group sizes, expert coaches, and a focus on progression, the spring MTB Club offers the perfect mix of fun, skill-building, and adventure.

We’re also proud to offer a Girls Only Program for riders aged 7-11, providing an empowering and inclusive space where girls can thrive, connect, and grow their skills together.

Join us for a season of laughter, learning and unforgettable rides!

Why choose the Spring MTB Club?

At Squamish MTB Academy, we do more than teach riding skills. We foster a growth mindset that helps riders thrive both on and off the trails. Here’s why families love our programs:

Professional Coaching:

  • Learn from PMBIA-certified coaches passionate about helping young riders thrive.

Proven Progression:

  • Riders improve their skills and confidence quickly with our structured approach.

Focus on Fun:

  • We believe that fun is the foundation of learning and peak performance.

Community Focus:

  • Our programs foster a supportive community where riders build friendships, learn from peers, and feel encouraged to push their limits together.

Our programs are designed to support every rider’s unique journey, empowering them to tackle challenges with confidence and joy.

PROGRAM FEATURES:

Each week, riders participate in a 2.25-hour sessions designed to improve their skills and push their limits. Working thorough the six skills of mountain biking; incorporating a mixture of practice drills, progressions, and trail riding, we teach kids how to become better riders.

Skills Development:

    • Position & Balance.
    • Braking & Cornering.
    • Descending a variety of terrain.
    • Jumps & Drops (tailored to skill level).
    • Riding slabs & Features.

Trail Exploration:

Riders practice their skills on some of Squamish’s best trails, including Mikis Magic, Roller Coaster, LOA, Rupert, Pamplemousse, Half Nelson, Pseudo Tsuga, Angry M, Ditch Pig, Hybrid, Bro Down, and more…

Our small group sizes and hands-on coaching ensure every rider gets the support they need to grow.

Riding levels

At SMBA, we understand that creating the best learning environment starts with matching each group to the appropriate skill level and experience. This ensures every rider can grow, have fun, and feel challenged. Please take a moment to review the levels below to find the best fit for your child, or reach out to us—we’re happy to help you choose the right program.

Keep in mind, these levels are simply a guide to assist with group placements. We typically run multiple groups with varying abilities, so there’s flexibility to adjust and move riders into the group that suits them best, even after the program begins.

This program utilizes the Alice Lake and Diamond Head/University trail networks, featuring classic climbs and trails such as LOA, Rollercoaster, Miki’s Magic, Pseudo-Tsuga, and Half Nelson.
